What a yacht rental in Miami looks like

In Miami, 'renting a yacht' almost always means a crewed charter. You book the yacht for a set number of hours, meet the captain at the marina, and the crew handles everything from undocking to anchoring. You and your guests decide how the day feels: a slow cruise past Star Island and the Venetian Islands, a long swim stop at a sandbar, lunch at anchor, or a run along the Miami Beach coastline.

Choosing the right yacht

Start with the number of guests and the kind of day you want. Smaller groups who want speed and a sandbar afternoon are well served by a sport yacht or express cruiser. Groups who want shade, a flybridge and room to move around tend to choose a motor yacht or luxury yacht. For milestone occasions or longer trips, a superyacht puts several decks and a full crew at your disposal. Families and mixed groups often prefer a catamaran for its stability.

How long to book for

Four hours is enough for a cruise and one stop. Six hours lets you add a proper swim and lunch at anchor without rushing. Eight hours or a full day suits groups who want to stay at the sandbar, add jet skis, and come back in at sunset. Multi-day charters usually head south toward the Florida Keys or across to the Bahamas, depending on the weather and the yacht.

Why we only rent new, modern yachts

The yacht is the centrepiece of the day, so we only charter new, modern yachts kept in excellent condition. No tired upholstery, no faded gelcoat. If a yacht doesn't meet that standard, we don't offer it.

What's included

  • A licensed captain and crew on every charter
  • Exclusive use of the yacht for your group only

What to bring

  • Swimwear, a towel and a light layer for the ride back
  • Reef-friendly sunscreen in lotion form
  • Sunglasses and a hat
  • ID for anyone planning to drink
  • Soft-soled or bare feet on deck. Most yachts ask for no hard-soled shoes

Do I need a boating licence to rent a yacht in Miami?

No. Every charter we arrange is crewed by a licensed captain who operates the yacht. You and your guests just enjoy the day.

How many people can go on a yacht rental?

Most private yachts carry up to 12 or 13 guests under U.S. Coast Guard rules. For larger groups we arrange vessels certified to carry more passengers.

How far in advance should I book?

As early as you can for weekends, holidays and the winter season, when the best yachts go first. Weekdays usually have more choice at shorter notice.

What is included in the price?

Every charter includes the yacht, a licensed captain and crew. Fuel, crew gratuity, taxes, drinks and toys vary by yacht, and your written quote lists each one.

Where do Miami yacht rentals depart from?

From marinas in Miami Beach, Downtown / Bayside, Coconut Grove and the Haulover area. The exact dock depends on the yacht.
